Finding Margo

After everybody left, and Quentin stayed to talk with Margo he went to buy something.The hugged and Q explained her that he came all the way to New York because of all the clues she left her. But Margo seemed confused, she actually didn't thought that Q was coming to find her. And she left clues because she always does. Quentin was disappointed because the only thing that Margo wanted was to leave the Paper Town were she was leaving in. They started to fight and discuss about the situation. She explained that what she wanted was to be alone and to find herself because she didn't knew herself. After a long discussion they went to take a milkshake and she explained everything. Maybe Quentin didn't know Margo that much, maybe Margo didn't know herself that much. Q had to leave to prom, and she invited him to stay but Q had to accomplish something and forget about her. They were several rumors about were Margo was, but the only one who knew was Quentin Jacobsen.

"Something about Margo completely losing her temper allows me to regain mine."(285)

Maybe what Margo really wanted from Quentin was that he found himself. That he should not care so much and live the way he wants. The last night he saw Margo he did things that he normally never wouldn't do. And the he went to parties, he was absent to school, he went on a road trip with his friends, and he was going to prom. I think Margo wanted Quentin to find himself and to stop caring so much about the future and start living the present. 

         

"She seemed finished, but I had one more question. And why here of all places? A paper town for a paper girl." (293)

Margo wanted to find herself too. She didn't wanted to be the popular plastic girl on school, because she didn't felt like that. She always saw herself as a paper girl living in a paper town. She always did what she wanted and live how she wanted. But not in the place where she wanted. She found the perfect place, with not much to do, but a perfect place to think and read. Also great place to escape from all mistakes, and the live she had have.

I loved this book because of all the great details John Green uses. It makes the book much more interesting and surprising. I like how the end was not expected. It was different from all the other books and had something special. As I read I could also imagine everything in the book and how every character was. I like the way the message is giving on how the characters interpreted. He also uses places like Orlando and New York that are really visited by people  and I could imagine the whole story in my head. The book was great and I would definitively recommended to kids and adults. 

          

In the way to find Margo

Quentin and their friends decided to go to find Margo. They found a map in this weird place that apparently was a Souvenir Store  that Margo had left for them to found out. Q and their friends was going to be the first time they were going to be absent to school. Quentin had to pretend to be sick and vomiting so he could actually take the mini van and go to New York with his friends. Radar had planned the trip really good for them to get to prom, which Q was not that interested. The ones who went on a trip were Quentin, Radar, Angela, Lacey, and Ben. There were many hours of trip, and the time was perfectly calculated by Radar. They had 6 minutes to stop in the gasoline, to buy food, drinks and shirts and then they had to continue driving. But on the night Quentin got decentralized and a cow was in the road and the car got damaged. They slept in the road that night. Many interesting things happen that night between Angela and Radar and also between Ben and Lacey. The other day It was finally the day to find Margo. They went to the Paper Town but when they arrived Margo wasn't there. They kept looking and looking and nothing. After that They saw a girl, it was Margo. They talked with her and after that Quentin and Margo kept talking. 

"Q is not so melodratragic as that." (257)

In this part of the book where all the friends were in the road trip in the way looking for Margo. Radar says "Q is not so melodratragic as that. And im wondering what does MELODRATRAGIC means? Is it something like melodramatic or a disease? Maybe its just a made up word by the author to explain how dramatic the situation or the character is. 

This last chapters had been really interesting and have a lot of detail. I think Quentin is going to find
Margo and tell her the whole truth. That he love her and that he went all the way to New York Just to find her. And then they are going to fell in love and o back to Orlando. Finally go to prom enjoy the last weeks of school, graduate go to collage together and marry. 

MARGO HAS DISSAPEARED

After Quentin and Margo had that incredible adventure on that long night, Quentin was anxious of what Margo would do the next day in school. He woke up in the morning feeling more tired that he felt on the night. As usually he was running late for school. Her mom gave him breakfast, and immediately toke him to school. He reunited with Radar and Ben and he didn't saw Margo's car. He thought that Margo was too tired for school. But when he arrived home he saw Margo's curtain open, which that never happen. Then Margo's parents went to Q's house with police officers. They seemed nervous and worried. That was because Margo had runned away again. They had no idea where she went, and two days had past. Margo's mom explain that every time she left Margo left tracks for them to find her. But this time it was different. No clue was found. Quentin went to Margo's room to investigate, he found poems which talked about New York. Q went to talk to Margo's friend Lacey, she said she had no idea where she went, but she wanted Quentin to go to New York to find her. But Q wasn't sure.

                               

"I don't know who she is anymore, or who she was, but I need to find her." (141)

Quentin has been in love with Margo for a really long time. But she was the typical popular girl that never turns around to see not so popular guys like Q. After that long night they had, doing antics and having fun with other people Q liked even more Margo. But she decided to dissapear. Margo was leaving clues not for her parents but for Quentin to find her. Maybe she also liked Q and maybe she wanted Q to find her. And its working. 

"I lay down and started to feel a little depressed about prom. I refused to feel any kind of sadness over the fact that I wasn't going to prom, but I had stupidly, embarrassingly thoughts of finding Margo." (133)

I think Quentin does like prom, but he says he doesn't like it because he doesn't have the perfect girl for that. Maybe if someday Margo returns or someone finds her, and could get to be Q's girlfriend he would take her to prom. Why I don't understand about this recent chapters, is why Margo left? Why does she escape and wants people to find her? She doesn't receive that much attention? On the next chapters I hope Q or someone finds her to figure out why she runned away.

I like how the author John Green, ends each chapter. It makes me want to discover new things about the book and keep reading. He uses short phrases that makes me wonder and think what might happen in the novel. He also uses characterization really good, it makes the character really specific and that helps me imagine how he is and while reading the book I can see him in my head. As well imagery, the book setting is on Florida, and I can see the book as a movie. I  think the authors tools in this novel really makes it more interesting and useful for people to read. 

Margo

PAPER TOWNS

JOHN GREEN

It all started in a morning in which Quentin Jacobsen a normal guy on school that hates prom and thinks its the dumbest thing was watching one of the most prettiest girls on school Margo Roth Spiegelman. She was perfection for Q but she had a boyfriend Jase and two best friends Lacey and Becca. But he knew being with Margo wouldn't be possible. On the night that same day Q heard something it was Margo on his window asking for help. She wanted Quentin help her to do some thing, with Q minivan. He accepted. Margo took him oven Walmart to buy some thing and then to Becca´s house. It ended up being that Jase Margo's boyfriend has been cheating on her with her BFF Becca. So she needed proves, and she used Q for help. 

" It was a well known fact that I was opposed to prom. Absolutely nothing about any of it appealed to me- not slow dancing, not fast dancing, not the dresses and definitely not the rented tuxedo." (pg16)

This part of the novel reminded me of another movie, mean girls. Of how important was these night for some girls, or how some of the people just didn't wanted to assist. The girls prepared really good and was really important to fit in in a pretty dress or to be the queen of the party. Or guys had to buy or rent a tuxedo and to ask a girl they liked to the dance. 

"I swiveled around when I heard the window open, and Margo's blue eyes were staring back at me. Her eyes were all I could see at first, but as my vision adjusted, I realized she was wearing a black face paint and a black hoodie." (pg.25)

I wonder if Margo is Q's neighbor and she attends to the same school and he is so in love with her why he never said a words to her? why is he so afraid of talking to her? What would happen after they met and have this weird experience of investigating? Will Margo talk again to Quentin and be her friend or she would just forget about him again?

On the next chapters I think Margo will avoid Q at first. Until Q get strength and talk to Margo and invite her to something. After that I thing Margo and Quentin will get to know each other and get to be friends. Quentin will like so much Margo that even though he doesn't like prom he will invite her to go with him. 

Prison?

Ladydi arrived okay. She started working the day she arrived in this beautiful big house. She had to take care of the children. She just had to take care of one six year old boy named Alexis. She loved playing with them and taking care of them. She knew a man there, it was a gardener his name was Julio and slowly she began falling in love. Julio also liked Ladydi and they went on trips to islands and hold hands. Ladydis mother called her once a week and the last time Ladydi didn't answer so fast. Her mom was desperate, she said to Ladydi that mike had been arrested, because he killed a little girl. He also said that Ladydi was with him, when he killed him. Ladydis mom insisted to Ladydi that she had to escape because they where coming for her. She didn't listen until one day three policeman broke in to the big house and started to revise every single room. They got into Ladydis room and they found the bag full of drug. She was taken and she never said goodbye to Julio. She went to Mexico City by helicopter with a police officer. People asked her questions about why she would kill a little girl. Ladydi went to jail. In the book it doesn't specify how much time she spend there but she was a minor so no much long. When she went out they discover she was pregnant and her mother said. "Just pray its a boy."

I imagine the house garden to be like this.

" Theres something I need to tell you, I said. There are five people in this taxi. I pointed to my belly. Theres a baby in here, I said. My mother didn't blink or breathe or move and then she kissed my cheek. Maria kissed my other cheek. They kissed me but they did not kissed me. They were kissing my child already. My mother said just pray its a boy." pg. (222)

I like the relationship between Ladydi and her mother. They had been through a lot of things and they still are together. I like how Ladydis mother always helped her and supported her in everything she did. At the begging of the book she was not a good mother for me because she always was drunk and she didn't payed much attention to Ladydi but, now I realize she always was there for her daughter taking care of her and at the end she made her realize how difficult is life and that you have to work hard to succeed. 

                                        

"Did the fortuneteller tell my mom that her daughter was going to go to jail." pg. (157)

I wonder why would they put Ladydi in jail if she didn't kill someone? They didn't had proves that she killed the little girl. She was a minor at the time they were going to put her in jail. The crime was so bad that she had to go to jail?

                                                             

I really enjoyed reading this book. It made me realize how lucky I am. I loved how the author used imagery and characterization to describe each thing. That helped me to understand more and more and also to have and image of the story in my head. When I read this book I also had many connections and questions. I would really recommend reading this book because its really fascinating.

In my way to Acapulco

One normal day after Ladydi graduating, She was on her house with her mom and Maria. Ladydis mother started to drank and really fast she got wasted. She was so drunk that she thought Maria was his husband, so she got a gun and shoot at Maria's arm. Ladydi that same minute got Maria and she took her to a taxi. They were on their way to Acapulco leaving Ladydis mother behind. After Maria got cured everything was fine. She didn't knew Ladydi mother had shot at her and this was left as an accident. Days passed and Ladydi was ready to leave Guerrero and work at Acapulco. She left town with Mike that would take her to the rich house in which she wold work on. Mike had some trouble and he was trying to involve Ladydi in it. It was a drug deal. But Ladydi didnt know. He gave her a bag and told her that he would pick up that bag in a few days. She arrived to a beautifull white and big house. She felt on paradise. 


                                      



"Your father sends my mother money. I dont believe you. He hasnt sent us money for years. Well, he sends my mother money. Every month." pg. (120)

I wonder why would Ladydi father send money to Mike and Maria and not to her and her mother. What did Ladydi mother did in the past that her husband doesn't sent her money any more. Why did Ladydis father went with another women when he was with her mom?

                                 



"Ill be back to pick that bag in a few days, he said." pg. (120)

This quote remembers me of a story I heard some years ago. It was about a boy that was waiting for a bus to come, and a guy came to him and asked if he could take care of his bag for a minute. Many time passed and no one came. Then he saw the same guy with the police saying that he had to revise the man and the bag. They found drug in the bag and the man went to prison. I think something a like is happening with Ladydi and Mike. 

                     


This few chapters had been really interesting. As more as I read the more interesting the book is getting. I like how the author tells the story. It makes me feel like I am in it. I want to know what is going to happen in the end of the book. I predict Ladydi is going to found a true love in the place she works or maybe outside of work in a party or something alike. 

Where My Adventure Began

This is how I imagine Ladydi school in Guerrero Mountain

After months of Ladydi  knowing her dads secret she promised her mom she wouldn't tell Maria that she was her half sister. Her dad was gone forever and her mom the only thing she did was curse him. Things were calmed in t Guerrero for a wile, and the government had sent a teacher from Acapulco to teach Ladydi and the girls from the mountain. She enjoyed having class but her other friends like Estefani, Maria and Paula were bored and sometimes they slept in class. She knew a guy in the school Mike who was older than her and was Maria sister. After he graduated he went to work to Acapulco and sometimes he went to Guerrero to visit his family. Years passed and it was time for Ladydi to graduate, she discussed with her mother that what would she do when she grew older, and now was the time. Ladydi asked her mom if she would sell thing on the street and her mom always become crazy with that stuff. One day that Mike passed through the mountain, he knew that it was time for Ladydi to have some work and he told them that a rich family in Acapulco needed a nanny. Ladydi discussed this with her mom and she agreed. She would have a new job in Acapulco! 

                               


"My mother said to me, you're not going to sell iguanas on the side of the road. Your not going to stay here doing nothing and you better not get pregnant or Ill kill you" pg. (72)

I like this part of the book because the author is being really specific. He is also trying to teach the reader that as a mom you gotta guide your children into wanting them to work and succeed in their life. I also like how the author is trying to make Ladydis mom be seen as she wants to change all the bad things she has done and she wants her child to be better and she is. 

"The drug traffickers, who'd killed Paula's mothers dogs and had stolen her wrapped naked in a white towel, were now going to sell her." pg. (77)

I felt really sad in this chapter because its amazing what people are capable of doing. Sometimes people just want to take advantage of others and use them to gain power. I think this is happening in this book right now. I feel bad for Paula because she didn't deserve all these bad things on her life. 

This is Acapulco

In the next chapters of Prayers for the Stolen I think that Ladydi is going to Acapulco to work in her new job. She is going to enjoy so much being there and working there that she is going to look for another job that will pay her better. I think she is going to forget about her mother that lives in Guerrero. Furthermore she will receive a call of one of her closest friends that her mom passed out.
